Roxy here and I’m one of the best head tilters going around….
I’m little and petite and have short legs so I’m close to the ground….
I’m a bit of a princess puggy clown…
After passing through several homes before I entered into Pug Rescue care I’ve worked through a few things and now had my life turned around…
And I’m on the look out for my very own best ever furever family to be found…
I’m full of sass, attitude and spunk but don’t worry Pug Rescue has trained me not to get to over the top…
As when I arrived, I was very frantic, would bark and tantrum constantly and pace because my mental health was a bit shot…
But I am actually a different puggy girl now and so much happier and calmer now because rules and boundaries along with walkies, socalising and a small amount of daily medication Dr Laura at Knox Vet prescribed which all has helped calm my once frantic brain a lot…
I absolutely love cuddles and being picked up and rocked like a baby….
Oh and I love going to the groomers who say I have the softest fur on me…
And I sit and wait when asked for dinner time but I still can’t help being a bit of a guts even with a slow feeder bowl sorry…
I love a rumble and a play with puggy friends…
And I will either snuggle up to my puggy foster brother or find a bed of my own when the day ends..
Mostly I just like joining in on daily family life and go with the flow with what’s going on…
Just don’t be late for dinner time as I will sing my woo woo puggy song…
Pug Rescue have really turned my life around and done so much for me…..
Including getting me to lose over 2.5kG so I am fit and thin 6kg girl now yippy…
Even with weight loss my breathing wasn’t that good and I was still struggling to get in air…
So Dr Ricky from Geelong Animal Referral Service performed BOAS “Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome” surgery involving a folded palatoplasty to thin and trim my very long and thick, soft palate, a tonsillectomy to remove my big tonsils and widened my extremely stenotic nostrils/nares…
I crate rested and got fed soft food and meds for a few weeks and my breathing is great now and I can much better gain air…
So I think that’s enough about me it’s time I heard about you….
And hope that lots of people send adoption enquiries through…
And don’t worry if you don’t have a puggy boyfriend for me as I can be paired up with one of the Pug Rescue boys who you can adopt too..
Roxy xxx

Rozy is happy to sleep in a bed with another pug or a crate with another pug.
Roxy is good walking on a lead and harness and will happily trot along.
Roxy is fine in a crate in the car or doggy seat belt.
Roxy’s furever home wishes:
♥ ANOTHER PUG – YES! Roxy has lived with other pugs and adores her male pug foster brothers. She is seeking a similar aged healthy desexed male pug (between approx 7 to 9 years) who is well socalised and pretty chilled out as a companion. Roxy will not be rehomed with other female pugs/dogs. (Please read up on same sex anxiety behaviours and dominance issues). Roxy will not be rehomed as a single pug this will set her anxiety into a spin. Roxy will not be rehomed with another breed of dog. Roxy could be paired with one of our boys Wally.
♥ HUMANS – Roxy is seeking humans that can show her positive leadership and set routines. Roxy absolutely can never be made by her humans to become overweight again!!!!
♥KIDS – High school. Roxy can be snatchy with food and whilst she is actually very gentle with children patting and hugging her and she finds them fascinating, babies and young children doing what they do (yelling, screaming, banging things, running around etc) will set Roxy’s anxiety back into a spin. Roxy will not be suited to a home that is planning children in the future as she has already been rehomed due to a new baby/toddler twice.
♥FENCING – Roxy as with all of our pugs requires secure brick, timber or colourbond fencing.
♥CATS – Unsure. Maybe dog savvy cats
♥EXERCISE – Roxy requires at least a 15+ minute walk a day plus play times.
♥WORKING HOURS – Not suitable for homes where she would be left without humans for 6+ hours a day on a regular basis.
♥Roxy absolutely requires air-condition.
♥Access to the inside of her house 24/7 and an indoor bed.
♥HOUSE & YARD SIZE/TYPE – Roxy may be fine in a house/townhouse with a smaller yard but she does need somewhere to potter around, toilet and sunbake.
