Small French boy looking for his furever home……
And a furever family to call his own….
Mogwai is an absolute delight…
He’s the bestest boy who always does everything right…
He was used to breed with and then found himself facing the end of his life…
Because he had a damaged infected hematoma cauliflowered ear from breeding dog fights…
And his horrendous breathing….
Which sounded like a steam train huffing, choking and heaving…
Thankfully Mogwai made his way into Pug Rescue care and with over 5 weeks of weekly vet appointments and weekly antibiotic ear gel being applied into his previously extremely inflamed and puffed up with scar tissue and infected ear that couldn’t be seen down….
The inflammation and infection subsided and Dr Sharon at Knox Vet could see his ear drum was intact making us all smile instead of frown…
Tackling Mogwai’s severe BOAS “Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome” was next on our list of things to do…
Dr Ricky of Geelong Animal Referral Services performed BOAS surgery including tonsillectomy and a folded flap palatoplasty to gift Mogwai a clearer airway to breathe through…
Mogwai reports that he was also desexed too..
Over two weeks of crate rest, hand feeding and meds and Mogwai’s breathing is now wonderful with no more horrible sounds coming from him whoo hoo ..
Mogwai’s manners are perfect and he will do everything that he is asked to do including coming when asked, going outside, leaving, going to his crate and of course he will sit….
He will spend hours racing around playing chasey, wrestling with his frenchie and mates and toys are a big hit….
Pottering around he just loves to be one of the family..
And will curl up in a bed or on the couch happily…
He gets excited about walkies and does very well taking in new sights and sounds…
Being an ex breeder he can at times still be a bit unsure….
But with a confident doggy friend by his side he will continue to grow in confidence we are sure….
So if you are looking for a basically perfect small French boy…

MOGWAI XXX
Mogwai sleeps in an indoor crate bed that he is happy to share with another Frenchie.
Mogwai is toilet trained.
Mogwai walks well on a lead and harness and is not reactive. He can sometimes need to stop and take in the sights to work out that they are ok.
Mogwai knows how to sit and wait/stay.
Mogwai’s furever home wishes:
♥ OTHER FRENCH BULLDOG YES! Mogwai lives with Frenchies and pugs in his foster home. He is an extremely social boy and adores companionship especially of female French bulldogs of his own age. He is a small statured boy but is still very active and is seeking a fit active female Frenchie of a similar aged and sized (between 3 to 5 years) that is well socalised and non reactive as a companion. Mogwai will not be rehomed with other male dogs nor other completely different breeds of dogs. Mogwai will not be rehomed as a single dog.
♥ HUMANS – Mogwai is seeking humans that can keep up with him and that can show him positive leadership.
♥KIDS – Mogwai would be great with school aged kids.
♥FENCING – Mogwai requires secure brick, timber or colourbond fencing.
♥CATS – Unsure. Maybe.
♥EXERCISE – Mogwai requires at least a 15+ minute walk a day and many hours of play time.
♥WORKING HOURS – Not suitable for homes where he would be left without humans for 6+ hours a day on a regular basis.
♥Mogwai absolutely requires air-condition.
♥Access to the inside of his house 24/7 and an indoor bed.
♥HOUSE & YARD SIZE/TYPE – Mogwai would do best in a home that has a yard he can do zoomies in.

Mogwai has undergone vet checks and ear infection treatment Knox Vet.
Mogwai has undergone specialist BOAS airway surgery by Dr Ricky of GARS (folded palatoplasty to trim and reduce the thickness of his soft palate and tonsillectomy)
Mogwai is desexed, C5 vaccinated, is microchipped & up to date with his worming & flea prevention.
Mogwai has slightly atopic skin which can be controlled with medicated wipes and shampoo. Allergy medication may be an option if needed.
